Five-time major winner Seve Ballesteros is stable but still undergoing tests in a Madrid hospital to determine why he had a dizzy spell earlier this week. La Paz University Hospital said it was not known when Ballesteros might be released, adding that it would issue a statement in the event of any changes in his condition.
CRICKET
The Cobras' most lethal attacking weapon, Monde Zondeki, has been ruled out of the SuperSport Series cricket clash against the Titans in Benoni, starting on Thursday. Zondeki suffered a groin strain on the third day of the Cobras' match against the Eagles in Kimberley last week. His place in the Cobras' line-up has gone to the Boland speedster Willem du Toit.

Formula One must slash costs by 2010 or face serious problems, International Automobile Federation (FIA) president Max Mosley warned on Tuesday. Mosley said the global credit crunch had only made matters worse for the big-spending sport and there was a serious risk of some teams walking away if matters were not taken in hand.
